They Needed Power, So They Came to Us
It started with plasma pulses. Ionized rings of rippling particles cascading from the sky. Everyone had their own story of where they were when contact was first made—we didn’t know exactly what they wanted. Friend or foe? No one knew.
It was clear their craft was damaged and in need of a new power source. The world’s chief scientists offered assistance, but they were silently dismissed.
After a series of failed translations, one word was finally spoken by the otherworldly visitors in unison, "Acopian!"
And then we knew. They needed power, so they came to us.
