Narrow Profile Power Supplies Have PFC, Operate on AC or DC

Easton, PA - Acopian's single-output Narrow Profile power supplies are available in over 150 models that provide from 3.3 to 125 volts and deliver up to 288 watts in applications where other supplies won’t fit. They can be used on either AC or DC input.

Models with outputs greater that 120 watts have power factor correction and output inhibit capability - applying between +3 and +25 VDC to the Inhibit terminal will disable the output. All models are rated for operation from 0 to +71°C. Other features include remote sensing capability (compensates up to 0.5-volt drop per output), and overload, over-voltage, short-circuit, and thermal protection.

Measuring as small as 1.7 x 3.5 x7 inches (largest is 1.7 x 3.5 x 9.8 inches), these 100 kHz switchers, which include an input filter, feature a line regulation of ± 0.05 percent, load regulation of ±0.05 percent, and transient response of 300 microseconds for a return to within ±1 percent of the set output voltage following a load-step change from 50 to 100 percent. Output voltage may be alternately controlled with an external potentiometer. The output is floating and may be used in either polarity.
